Background

For eight years, I have served as an attorney representing individuals across criminal, family, probate, and eviction matters. In particular, my work with survivors of domestic and sexual violence has prepared me to serve our community with fairness and compassion.

But my perspective goes deeper than professional experience—I have also been the defendant, the addict, the victim, and the debtor. I personally know what it feels like to need a second chance, and I know the value of accountability when it leads to growth and better choices. These experiences give me a unique understanding of those who come before the court.

I was born and raised in Akron, Ohio, in a home shaped by hardship—domestic violence, substance abuse and sells, instability, and loss of hope. Despite these challenges, I built a career in law to prove to my community that anything is possible when you are willing to do the work. My journey is one of resilience, and I believe my purpose is to help others regain the hope they may have lost and the healing they desperately need-just as I did.

Vision

I am running for judge because Summit County deserves a judiciary that is fair, firm, and compassionate. I can make tough decisions while also finding alternative solutions to incarceration where appropriate. My goal is to change lives and make our community safer and stronger.

I believe true justice includes addressing root causes of crime. Where appropriate, I will advocate for alternatives that foster rehabilitation and healing—through therapy for the heart, improving physical and mental health, community service, and other supports that build healthier lives. My own path of healing has shown me that transformation is possible, and I want to bring that hope into the courtroom.

Justice is not merely the application of rules—it is the promise that every person will be seen, heard, and treated with dignity. I stand for a judiciary where compassion is strength; where the law serves the people, not the other way around; and where every decision honors both fairness and humanity.

Core Beliefs

• Every life matters in the eyes of the law, and no one should be defined solely by their worst mistake.

• Equity is essential, for justice that is blind to circumstance can be unjust in practice.

• The courtroom must be a place of respect, where voices are valued, even in disagreement.

• The scales of justice must balance both law and empathy.

• Power should be exercised with humility, and authority with accountability.

Commitment

I pledge to render decisions that heal where possible, correct where necessary, and protect where essential—so that justice is not only done, but also felt. Together, we can build a safer, stronger Summit County.
